All newsWebinar- Managed aquifer recharge in the Arab region
As part of the “Climate Resilience through Regional Cooperation for Inclusive Sustainable Development” project’s activities, ESCWA launched a series of webinars on groundwater governance, focusing in the first one on Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR), a process aimed at improving subsurface freshwater storage.
The webinar, held on 5 March, highlighted case studies from Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, followed by an interactive discussion on best practices and challenges in MAR implementation.
The session brought together water professionals, including members from the ESCWA network of national Arab groundwater focal points, as well as members from the Arab Integrated Water Resources Management Network (AWARENET).
